In the vocabulary of “Devonu lugotit turk” a significant place is allocated to the lively colloquial speech of the Turkic clans who lived in the Karakhanid kingdom, as well as the household lexicon used in the first old Turkic literary language. In this article, one of the thematic groups of the domestic lexicon of sister Turkic languages is focused on defining the stages of formation and development of the words meaning the names of headwear and underwear, instead of the encyclopedic work that was created due to the great work of Mahmud Koshgari.
