This article analyzes the historical development of the telemedicine service, its characteristics, and its main aspects, as well as the opinions of scientists. The indicators of telemedicine on the platforms of foreign countries and leading service platforms were also studied. Issues of legal regulation of telemedicine in the experience of foreign countries are discussed. The bases of legal regulation of telemedicine are determined and the author's conclusions are given
