The article is devoted to the study of the current state and prospects of project management in IT startups. The relevance of the project approach to the management of IT startups is described. The characteristics of the IT startup market are given, and the trends of popularization of this practice of innovation development in the economy and society are clarified. The issues of organizing project management are being updated, taking into account IT startups and their specific features. The stages, principles, conditions, indicators, and other internal elements of project management of IT startups are specified. The features of modern project management in IT startups are revealed, which are discovered in the field of application of relevant digital tools. Based on the results of the research, conclusions are drawn about the prospects for project management in the field of IT startups. The prospects for project management of IT start-ups are due to multidimensional opportunities in improving the quality of processes, achieving high project manageability, its flexibility, decision-making efficiency, optimization of traditional tasks and conditions, and movement in the vector of constant development. The project presentation of an IT startup can have a positive impact on the processes of attracting an investor, sets the bar for the short-term, medium-term and long-term prospects for the implementation of an IT startup, etc.
