The article examines the role of the Russian language in theformation of national identity, using Uzbekistan as a case study. The Russianlanguage, remaining an important means of interethnic communication,facilitates the integration and interaction of various ethnic groups within thecountry's multilingual society. The functions of the Russian language areanalyzed in the context of cultural traditions, educational processes, and socioculturaldynamics. The study explores how the Russian language helps preservehistorical memory and creates a common space for dialogue. The articleemphasizes the significance of the Russian language as a tool for strengtheningintercultural ties and national self-awareness in contemporary Uzbekistan.
