This article analyzes the didactic advantages of switching fromthe traditional AutoCAD program to the Revit program based on BIMtechnologies in teaching engineering graphics. During the study, the capabilitiesof AutoCAD and Revit programs in the educational process were comparativelystudied and the importance of BIM technologies in developing spatial thinking,design-practical competencies and digital skills in students was substantiated.Also, a methodology for the gradual transition of engineering graphics from a 2Dgraphic environment to a 3D information modeling environment was developed.The results of the study showed that an integrated teaching model based onRevit increases the effectiveness of education.
