Today, a number of research works and scientific research are being carried out in the field of rulemaking. The content of these scientific works will be further improved by adapting legislation and law enforcement practice to the requirements of the time. Based on this, this article analyzes in detail the scientific and legal foundations of the legal examination of draft regulatory legal documents based on the scientific views of scientists who have conducted research in this area and current legal norms. The article developed also the author's definition of the concept of "legal expertise of draft regulatory documents". The article covers in more detail the procedures for legal expertise of draft regulatory legal documents based on the classification of legislative documents related to this area.
