This article examines the essence of the concept of emotionality – one of the topical directions in modern linguistics – and the features of its manifestation within the system of phraseological units. The article provides a comparative analysis of the relationship between the concepts of emotionality and feeling, their interdisciplinary interpretations, and summarizes the scholarly views of researchers such as E. G'oziyev, A. Hojiyev, U. Rashidova, Sh. Safarov, and Q. Musaev on this issue. Based on materials from the Uzbek phraseological dictionary, phraseological units expressing emotionality were selected and analyzed;they were divided into positive (joy, delight, surprise) and negative (anger, sorrow, distress) semantic groups, each systematically presented in separate tables.
