This article analyzes expressions with onomastic content based on the tripartite “world-thought-language” model. Our analytical study examines expressions including proper names (anthroponyms, toponyms, ethnonyms, zoonyms, etc.) in English and Uzbek as a unified product of both peoples' perception of the world, its reflection in thought, and its expression through language. Theoretically, this is based on the assumption that the world is an external reality, thought is its reflection in the human mind, and language is the realization of this reflection in linguistic units. The article examines the role of the onomastic component in the formation of evaluative (positive and negative) meanings, their place in the semantics of expressions, and their figurative nature. As is well known, expressions based on historical figures, legendary heroes, and toponyms preserve the historical past, spiritual values, cultural views, and national worldview of a people. Most of these units carry linguacultural information, and in the process of meaning transfer, the original lexical meaning of the onomastic unit is transformed into symbolic and metaphorical content. It also examines the methods of forming such expressions, their semantic structure, and comparative aspects in thecomparative perspective of two languages.
