We investigate the giant-planet candidate TOI-7202.01 (TIC 116262653) using numerical TESS Quick-Look Pipeline light curves, the associated four-page data-validation report, and Maidanak Astronomical Observatory (MAO) photometry reduced with AstroImageJ. Six TESS sectors provide 16 transit windows with adequate local baseline coverage. An exposure-integrated trapezoid fit yields an orbital period of 7.760089 ± 0.000016 d, a depth of 14.63 ± 0.94 parts per thousand (ppt), and a total duration of 1.897 ± 0.124 h. We analyse 231 ground-based measurements: 164 in R from 2025 June 13 and 67 in I from 2026 June 5. A timestamp audit identifies incorrect barycentric information in the 2026 I-band export; all ground-based times are therefore recalculated consistently in BJDTDB. With the TESS duration and ingress fraction used as a template, and their uncertainty propagated by block resampling, the R- and I-band depths are 14.36 ± 1.64 and 18.90 ± 4.66 ppt, respectively. Their timing offsets from the TESS-only ephemeris are −7.19 ± 4.06 and +3.53 ± 8.01 min. A reported 1.296-ppt, 3.0σ secondary feature is not recovered by our local-baseline analysis: the largest local significance over the report-directed phase and duration grid is 1.83σ. The results support a repeatable transit-like event within the target photometric aperture, while incomplete ground-based baseline coverage and unresolved blend scenarios prevent planetary validation. TOI-7202.01 remains a candidate suitable for further photometric and spectroscopic vetting.
