This article examines the lives, miracles, and teachings of Sufi saints from Termez – including Hakim Termezi, Abu Bakr Varraq Termezi, Abu Zarr Termezi, Abulmuzaffar Termezi, and Sayyid Burhaniddin Muhaqqiq – as recorded in Alisher Navoi’s biographical work “Nasoyim ul-muhabbat min shamoyim il-futuvvat”. After briefly outlining the work’s composition history, extant manuscripts, and scholarly reception, the article explores the role of Termez saints in the history of Sufism, including their master-disciple relationships, notably Sayyid Burhaniddin Muhaqqiq’s mentorship of Jalaliddin Rumi. The study concludes that Termez served as a major spiritual center in the history of Sufism, and that further research on its saints remains scholarly relevant today.
