Comparative-semantic and linguocultural analysis of measurement units in the uzbek “Baburnama” and their english translations

Annotatsiya

This article examines the comparative-semantic features of measurement units used in the Baburnama in Uzbek and English. It analyzes their lexical-semantic structure, contextual meanings, functional characteristics, and ways of rendering them in English translations. The study identifies the effects of such translation strategies as transliteration, functional equivalence, and explicitation on the preservation of semantic content.
