Improving the capacity for collaborative development of population structure and regional economy is a central issue inpromoting high-quality development of new urbanization. A comprehensive system of evaluation indicators for populationstructure and regional economy was constructed, and the coupled coordination model and barrier factor diagnostic model wereused to analyze the evolution characteristics and barrier factors of the coupling relationship between population structure andregional economy in Hohhot.
