This article analyzes the socio-philosophical significance of professional-applied sports in a comprehensive manner. The study highlights the role of sports in personal development, particularly in fostering such social qualities as dedication, responsibility, discipline, and teamwork. It also substantiates the essence of professional-applied sports as a social institution, emphasizing its importance in strengthening social cohesion, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and developing civil society. Based on the views of national and foreign scholars, the article examines the role of sports in the formation of social capital. The results of the study reveal the multifaceted functions of professional-applied sports in social development.
