The article examines patriotism as a complex socio-philosophical phenomenon and a crucial component in the development of thepersonality and civic stance of contemporary youth. Particular attention is paid to the essence of patriotism and its relationship withconcepts such as "Homeland," "love," "civic consciousness," "national identity," "duty," and "responsibility." Through an analysisof philosophical and socio-philosophical approaches, the article elucidates the nature of patriotism not merely as an emotionalattachment to the Homeland, but as a conscious form of individual social engagement aimed at fostering the country's developmentand prosperity. Particular emphasis is placed on the issue of fostering patriotism among university students in Uzbekistan amidstglobalization and dynamic social changes.
