The article analyzes the role of the Tashkent International Film Festival during the Soviet and independence periods, the historical reasons for its revival in 2021 after a 24-year hiatus, and its significance in state cultural policy through archival documents and regulatory frameworks. It is scientifically proven that the revived film festival is not just an entertainment event, but a tool of cultural diplomacy of Uzbekistan in the world community.
