This article examines the innovation-digital dimension of production-factor efficiency in small business enterprises and develops an integrated approach to identifying internal development reserves. Labour efficiency, capital efficiency, innovation and digitalisation, as well as management and institutional conditions are combined within a unified analytical framework. The KISI results, based on a baseline integral score, TOPSIS relative closeness and a PCA component, are linked to a reserve-gap calculation in order to determine which functional block should receive priority resources. The illustrative application to three enterprises indicates that the service enterprise is relatively efficient, whereas innovation and digitalisation represent the largest unrealised reserves in the industrial and trade enterprises.
