The article analyzes Uzbekistan's position and achievements based on the data provided by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in the 18th edition of the Global Innovation Index (GII) for 139 countries and the top 100 innovation clusters. It examines Uzbekistan's performance in such indicators as "Institutions", "Human capital & research", "Infrastructure", "Market sophistication", "Business sophistication", "Knowledge & technology outputs" and "Creative outputs", and provides ideas on how to further strengthen our position in the ranking and move up the rankings in the future
