This article analyzes the results of an express assessment of the pre-competition psycho-emotional state of 147 athletes from different sports using M. Lüscher’s Color Test. The distribution of first-choice colors and the correlations between psychological indicators and sport performance are examined. Red, blue, green, and yellow choices together accounted for 82.9% of responses. In view of mixed evidence in the scientific literature regarding the reliability and validity of the Lüscher Color Test, the method is treated as a supplementary rapid-screening tool rather than a stand-alone diagnostic instrument.
