Annotatsiya

The article examines the reforms in Arabic morphology during the Nahda period through the lens of cognitive linguistics, contrasting classical works (al-Zamakhshari, Ibn Farhat) with those of reformers (al-Yaziji, al-Tahtawi). The study shows that the simplification of terminology, reorganization of classifications, and introduction of concepts such as šibh al-fi'l marked a shift to a human-centered cognitive model.
