The article provides a comparative analysis of Uzbek units of praise, prayer, and wish (olqish, duo, tilak) and their English counterparts within a unified blessing system. Underlying cultural concepts (baraka, rizq, qut, umr, oq), degrees of equivalence, and communicative lacunae are identified.
