The article analyses the organisational and managerial mechanisms for ensuring management effectiveness in specialised educational institutions from a systemic-structural perspective. The author clarifies the concept of an “organisational-managerial mechanism” and identifies its five interrelated components: the normative-institutional, organisational-functional, information-communicative, personnel-motivational and monitoring-evaluation sub-mechanisms. The limitations of each sub-mechanism in its traditional state and the opportunities for its improvement through digital technologies are presented in a comparative table. Five criteria for assessing management effectiveness are substantiated (outcome attainment, economy, process technology, socio-psychological satisfaction and innovative development), together with their empirical indicators. The findings provide a theoretical basis for developing practical recommendations on the digital transformation of management in specialised schools.
