This article examines the construction of the first stage of the Tashkent Metro from historical, technical, and socio-economic perspectives. It analyzes the prerequisites for metro construction, the design stages, and the specific challenges associated with building in a seismically active region. Special attention is given to engineering solutions and the role of the first line in the development of urban infrastructure.
