Based on the experience of foreign countries, this article presents analytical data on the population census, examines and analyzes the history of population censuses, as well as the importance of population census and agricultural activities in the development of government programs. In addition, taking into account the experience of the countries of the world, various methods of conducting the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan are being discussed — traditional, online, register-based and hybrid methods.
