This article analyzes the issues of diversification of production, adaptation to andmitigation of the consequences of climate change, and increasing the efficiency of naturalresource use in the process of sustainable economic development. The study highlights thestructural changes implemented in recent years, the state policy on ensuring environmentalsustainability, the concept of “green economy”, and the importance of introducing innovativetechnologies, using the example of the economy of Uzbekistan.
