This article presents a comprehensive theoretical analysis of the shadow economy,including its size, causes, and impacts on global and national economies. By reviewinginternational literature and descriptive statistics, the study compares key methods for combatingthe shadow economy, such as regulatory reforms, tax policy adjustments, and internationalcooperation. The article proposes an integrative approach tailored for Uzbekistan’s economic andinstitutional context to enhance transparency, improve tax collection, and promote sustainabledevelopment.
