This article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects ofstudying the mechanisms for forecasting the development of the food market. Thestudy studied the main components of the food market, the internal and externalfactors that affect it and their relationship. Also covered are modern econometrictechniques used in forecasting, in particular regression analysis, Time Seriesmodels (ARIMA, ARDL), and their practical significance.The article developed a methodology for the formation of forecastingmechanisms based on food prices, consumption volumes and import indicators.The results of the study are important in ensuring food security, strengtheningmarket stability and maintaining effective economic policies.
