The article analyses the economic nature of freight transport services within service sector economics. The non-storability of transport capacity is substantiated as the theoretical basis of the capacity utilisation efficiency problem. Full truckload, less-than-truckload and partial truckload models are comparatively analysed; the multi-stop partial truckload model is delimited as a terminal-free consolidation form. Foreign experience is generalised and five solutions applicable to Uzbekistan are identified.
