The article analyzes the semantic boundaries, etymological sources and conceptual structure of the terms “cosmetics” and “cosmetology”. These units are interpreted not merely as borrowed words but as multilayered terms connected with beauty, care, hygiene, health, professional service and advertising discourse. The study examines 52 terms and terminological combinations actively used in Uzbek professional and public communication and classifies them according to the model “product - procedure - field - service - marketing”.
