The article analyzes legislation and State programs of the Republic of Uzbekistan on activity of investigative bodies for prevention of juvenile crimes, as well as international experience of foreign countries, and typical circumstances contributing to the commission of crimes by juveniles in the countries of Central Asia, influencing factors on the behavior of juveniles have been identified, identification of the causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of crimes, beginning and end of crime prevention carried out by the investigator. Moreover, the author establishes that timely establishment and initiation of criminal cases against juveniles leads to early prevention of crimes, criminal procedural measures of coercion evidences on preventive nature of stated procedural institution. In the article the author believes that the institute of termination of a criminal case on the basis of reconciliation, has a potential character of prevention, that is the accused person is not subjected to the trial procedure. Further meaning of submission of complaints to relevant institutions is discussed, the case of amount of complaints, as well as further actions of the investigator on execution of submitted complaint and non-procedural forms of crime prevention such as performance in media, personal conversations with officials, publication of articles, notes in the press have been discussed in the article.
