Шанхайская организация сотрудничества (ШОС) - межправительственная международная организация, основанная лидерами Китая, России, Казахстана, Таджикистана, Киргизии и Узбекистана. «Декларация о создании ШОС» была принята 15 июня 2001 г. в г. Шанхае. Уставным документом ШОС является «Хартия ШОС», подписанная главами государств ШОС 7 июня 2002 г. в г. Санкт-Петербурге. Высшим орган ШОС – Совет глав государств, административный орган - Секретариат ШОС.
