This article discusses the process of studying the issue of artistic speech in Uzbek linguistics. At the same time, the artistic and scientific speech is comparatively studied and the aspects of relation of fiction to artareanalyzed.Inaliterarytext,theauthor’sgoalofaestheticimpacton the reader or reader is in the foreground, while in a non-fiction text, the main goal of the author is to have a communicative impact on the reader or reader. In other words, if the content of certain information and its ex-pression is primary in a non-fiction text, such information is not primary in an artistic text, but the aesthetic expression of the thought -idea that is tobeexpressedonthebasisofthistextisabsolutelydecisive.Artisticand non-artistictypesoftextdifferfromeachotheraccordingtotheweightof the aesthetic function of the language.
