The aim of this work is to obtain composite materials belonging to the class of heat-insulating structural concretes from waste non-metallic raw materials of volcanic origin by the method of microwave synthesis. A microwave method has been developed for obtaining building material based on rock waste, namely, tuff from various deposits (Artik, Jrvezh and Maisyan) of Armenia. A silicate analysis of tuffs was carried out, which indicates a different content of losses on ignition (lOI) depending on the deposit. Differential-thermal and IR-spectrometric studies of rocks were also carried out to clarify the modes of heat treatment of samples. In the process of obtaining the material, a combined binder based on liquid glass and corrective additives was used. The heat treatment of the samples of composite materials was carried out by microwave synthesis in an MWA 268 BL oven under different modes. The optimal modes of heat treatment of samples and their position in the furnace were determined for each deposit. The physical and mechanical properties of the obtained products, such as average density, compressive strength and water absorption, were studied.
