Annotatsiya

A study and comparative analysis of magneto-optical (MO) effects, in particular the Faraday and Kerr effects, in compounds with a chalcogenide spinel structure: CdCr2Se4 and CuCr4Se4. These materials are of significant interest as promising magnetic semiconductors, exhibiting strong spin-orbit coupling and potentially high magneto-optical transmission. Measurements were carried out of the spectral dependence of the polarization plane rotation of linearly polarized light (Faraday effect) and changes in reflected light (Kerr effect) depending on the temperature and the intensity of an external magnetic field. The study covered the visible and near-infrared ranges.
