Recent studies have shown that natriuretic peptides (NUP) play a significant role in the early diagnosis of heart failure. This article is dedicated to elucidating the pathophysiological foundations of changes in the types and levels of NPO in various diseases (heart failure, arterial hypertension, and kidney dysfunction). Along with this, the content of NUP in patients of different ages and its significance in diagnosis were discussed. The results of scientific research dedicated to the modification of NUP have confirmed that it plays an important role not only in diagnosis, but also in treatment.
