This article discusses the influence of some adsorbents on the process of hydrogenation of cottonseed oil. To prevent poisoning of nickel catalysts, it is recommended to introduce natural sorbents obtained from local clays and having adsorption properties as detoxicants into the reaction medium. Studies have shown that this has a positive effect on the depth of the process, makes it possible to increase the stability of the catalysts used and to obtain hydrogenates with various indicators.
