This scientific article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of using innovative approaches in developing the coordination abilities of female students studying in the field of physical education and sport. In the course of the research, the influence of classes organised on the basis of modern pedagogical technologies, interactive and functional exercises on the accuracy of movements, the maintenance of balance and spatial orientation abilities was analysed. The results of the pedagogical experiment carried out showed that innovative approaches significantly increase the coordination preparedness of female students. The research results are of practical importance for improving physical education classes in higher education institutions.
