In this research work, a sedimentation analysis of suspensions was carried out in order to assess the degree of dispersion of starch samples obtained from various natural sources. The sedimentation analysis was performed with respect to the starch substance constituting the dispersed phase of the suspension. On the basis of the experimental results, sedimentation curves were plotted and the distribution of the particles was determined. The relative content of each fraction of the suspensions and the particle size distribution were analysed using differential distribution curves. In addition, the maximum, minimum and average particle sizes in the suspension samples were calculated, which is an important technological indicator.
