Annotatsiya

Tic disorders represent a common form of hyperkinetic movement disorders in children and are often associated with significant functional and psycho-emotional impairments. The aim of the study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of botulinum toxin type A in the treatment of focal tics in children. The analysis demonstrated that local botulinum toxin injections were associated with a significant reduction in tic severity according to the Yale Global Tic Severity Scale (YGTSS), with the maximum therapeutic effect observed between days 10 and 20 after injection. Most patients showed clinically significant improvement in hyperkinetic symptoms with a favorable safety and tolerability profile. The obtained results support the feasibility of including botulinum toxin type A in the комплекс treatment of focal tic disorders in children.
