The article presents the results of clinical and neurophysiological examination of 120 patients with chronic dorsalgia against the background of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the spine. The use of the DN4 questionnaire and electroneuromyography (ENMG) allowed identifying a group of patients with a predominant neuropathic component of pain. It was established that patients with the neuropathic component are characterized by significantly higher pain intensity, longer history, and specific ENMG changes: a decrease in the conduction velocity along sensory fibers, an increase in F-wave latency, and activation of the H-reflex, indicating peripheral and central sensitization.
