Annotatsiya

Neurosyphilis is a form of late syphilis with central nervous system involvement that remains relevant in the era of modern antibiotic therapy. In recent decades, against the background of the HIV epidemic and the increasing number of immunocompromised patients, there has been an increase in cases of neurosyphilis. Clinical manifestations of the disease are very diverse - from asymptomatic forms to severe neurodegenerative processes observed in progressive paralysis and tabes dorsalis. Modern diagnostic methods, including cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis and molecular genetic studies, allow for early detection of neurosyphilis. Despite the widespread use of antibiotic therapy, insufficient treatment efficacy is noted in some cases, which increases the relevance of studying this pathology.
