Annotatsiya

This article examines the methodological significance of the philosophical heritage of the East for contemporary scientific research. The study analyzes the philosophical and scientific ideas of prominent Eastern scholars, including Abu Nasr al-Farabi, Abu Rayhan al- Biruni, Ibn Sina (Avicenna), Mirzo Ulugh Beg, Bahauddin Naqshband, and Alisher Navoi. Particular attention is paid to their views on scientific inquiry, logical reasoning, empirical observation, experimentation, and evidence-based knowledge. The paper demonstrates that the methodological principles developed within the Eastern philosophical tradition—such as systematic thinking, objectivity, the integration of theory and practice, critical reflection, and ethical responsibility in research—remain highly relevant to modern scientific methodology. Furthermore, the article explores the potential of applying Eastern philosophical concepts in interdisciplinary research and in addressing complex scientific problems. It argues that the integration of Eastern philosophical heritage with contemporary scientific methods contributes to strengthening theoretical foundations, improving research quality, fostering innovative thinking, and promoting a holistic understanding of scientific knowledge. The findings emphasize that Eastern philosophy continues to serve as a valuable methodological resource for advancing scientific inquiry in the twenty-first century.
