Annotatsiya

This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations for developing the mathematical literacy of primary school students through the use of artificial intelligence technologies. It is argued that in the modern educational environment, mathematical literacy extends beyond knowledge of arithmetic operations and includes the ability to analyze learning situations, apply mathematical knowledge to practical problems, establish cause-and- effect relationships, interpret numerical information, and select rational problem-solving strategies. Particular attention is paid to the potential of artificial intelligence in personalizing learning, diagnosing learning difficulties, selecting adaptive tasks, and fostering sustainable learning motivation. The article highlights the pedagogical conditions for the effective use of intelligent educational systems, digital simulators, adaptive platforms, and interactive tasks in primary mathematics education. A methodological model for developing mathematical literacy is proposed, comprising diagnostic, adaptive, practical, reflective, and assessment stages. The study concludes that, when applied on a scientifically grounded basis, artificial intelligence can serve as an effective tool for improving the quality of primary mathematics education.
