Annotatsiya

Patellar chondromalacia, which is based on a change in the cartilaginous surface, is a clinical patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFBS). Knee pain accounts for approximately 5% of all requests for primary medical care in adults. PFBS is characterized by pain in the front of the knee and accounts for 10-25% of all visits to physiotherapy clinics.Despite the popularity of surface tunneling as a first-line treatment for articular cartilage defects in the knee, there is no systematic information on its clinical effectiveness for the restoration of articular cartilage and longterm improvement of knee function. Superficial tunneling provides an effective short-term improvement in knee joint function, but there is insufficient data on its long-term results. The disadvantages of this method include limited restoration of hyaline tissue, variable volume of cartilage being restored, and possible deterioration of function.
