Annotatsiya

In this study, the amides of 5-amino-2-methylphenol with indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) were synthesized using the Schotten–Baumann method, and their physicochemical properties were investigated. In the first stage, the carboxyl group of the acids was converted into the corresponding acid chloride derivatives using thionyl chloride (SOCl₂). Subsequently, the acid chlorides were reacted with 5-amino-2-methylphenol to obtain the corresponding amides of indole-3-acetic acid and indole-3-butyric acid.
