To date, lesions of the peripheral part of the auditory pathway in children with sensorineural hearing loss have been studied sufficiently. However, research is still needed to study lesions in the central part of the auditory pathway and the symptoms that flow from it. Psycho-intellectual and social developmental disorders are more common in children with sensorineural hearing loss, an average of 15-60%. At the same time, in children with hearing impairment, emotional and mental retardation exacerbates the clinical manifestations of mental retardation, and the features of mental infantilism become apparent. This is facilitated by sensory and social deprivation, the nature of family education and long-term injuries.
