Annotatsiya

Fractures in the knee joint area occupy a special place among the periarticular and intra-articular fractures of the limb bones and are considered one of the most severe injuries of the musculoskeletal system. Many authors note a higher frequency of fractures in the proximal articular end of the tibia compared to fractures in the distal end of the femur. Treatment of such fractures remains a challenging task. Fractures of the bones forming the knee joint account for 4.0 to 6.1% of all leg bone fractures and 4.0 to 12.0% of intra-articular fractures. According to various authors, complications and unsatisfactory results exceed 50.0%. The most common complications of such fractures are the development of joint contractures and deforming arthrosis. In 57.0% of cases, fractures of the femoral and tibial condyles are complicated by the development of deforming knee arthrosis. In 57.0% of fractures of the femoral and tibial condyles, the development of deforming knee arthrosis is complicated.
