The article describes the equivalent features of proverbs expressing the concept of “wealth” inEnglish and Uzbek languages. Emphasis is placed on the use of folk proverbs in the process of teaching foreign languages, and the advantages of this have been discussed. The role of the author’s proverbs in humanlife and the importance of using proverbs belonging to each nation in English lessons are reflected.
