This article examines the stylistic strategies employed in depicting personality traits in Margaret Mitchell’s novel Gone with the Wind. The study focuses on how linguistic and stylistic devices contribute to the construction of human character within a literary text. Through qualitative stylistic analysis, particular attention is given to lexical choices, figurative language, narrative techniques, and dialogue patterns that shape the portrayal of personality. The findings indicate that Mitchell effectively combines direct and indirect characterization, utilizing evaluative adjectives, metaphors, and culturally marked expressions to create psychologically complex characters. The study also demonstrates that language functions not only as a descriptive tool but as a cognitive and cultural mechanism for representing human nature. The results contribute to stylistics and literary linguistics by revealing how linguistic structures reflect both individual psychology and broader socio-cultural values.
