This article focuses on the parallel connection of stagnation and even regression, the system of ensuring the safety of workers. Due to the lack of a proper level of public control over it. For example, it has been determined that in recent years, the culture of occupational safety has fallen significantly in various industries, even in other enterprises not engaged in production. Negligent attitude and connivance in the absence of control in the field of labor protection, which is the main problem in labor relations and industrial accidents in Uzbekistan today. It is determined that the Republican Committee of trade Unions needs to reform its policy in the field of labor protection. Examples of the current ambiguous situation in the labor protection system in industrial and non-industrial organizations of the republic are given. The requirements and directions subject to control by state bodies in the field of labor protection have been established. It is also established that in order to raise the system of professional risk analysis to a higher level, it is necessary to immediately improve the system of public control. During the analysis, recommendations are given to eliminate existing shortcomings and improve the system of public control in the field of labor protection. The recommendations are step-by-step: The first step is to increase the role of the employee in ensuring their own safety; The second step will be the development and improvement of the current list of documents at labor protection enterprises; The third step will be a complete revision of the current institution of trade unions, due to its inefficiency in modern conditions.
