In the context of COVID-19, cerebral venous thrombosis has proven to be a relatively common complication. The presence of venous strokes is an independent risk factor for poor prognosis in patients with severe COVID-19. The article provides a literature review regarding the epidemiology of cerebral venous thrombosis in patients with COVID-19. The article presents its own studies of anticoagulant prevention of cerebral venous thrombosis in patients with COVID-19. Also presented is a clinical case of cerebral venous thrombosis and cerebral venous infarction in a 48-year-old patient in the absence of risk factors for stroke.
